Mad Monday in 2025 delivered some of the funniest and most creative costumes we have ever seen. Footy and Netball clubs across Australia went all in, and the results were unreal. After looking through hundreds of team submissions, here are the official top ten best Mad Monday costumes of 2025.

1. Catman

Full face paint, dramatic whiskers, white suit, and commitment from head to toe. Catman was easily one of the most shared costumes of the year and takes the top spot.

2. The Wet Bandits

Harry and Marv from Home Alone. The bruises, the crowbar, the burnt scalp. This duo went all out and absolutely nailed the characters.

3. Sharon Strzelecki

One of the most iconic Aussie sitcom characters. The netball bib, the wig, the makeup. This was a perfect recreation of Sharon from Kath and Kim and a massive favourite with Netball Clubs.

4. The Giant Scissors Duo

The creativity here was next level. Two teammates dressed as giant silver scissors with full metallic legs. Strange, clever, and impossible to ignore.

5. Tammy Hembrow and Bailey Smith

Two huge Aussie personalities in one photo. The blonde wig, the activewear, the short shorts. This duo captured the look and attitude perfectly. A brilliant pair costume.

6. Mr Bean

From the teddy on the shoulder to the exact posture and expression, this Mr Bean costume was spot on. It instantly became one of the funniest costumes of the season.

7. TikTok Inspector

All black tactical gear paired with the trademark sunglasses and confident pose. A perfect recreation of the viral character that everyone recognises immediately.

8. The Machete Amnesty Bin

A full cardboard bin with a fake machete. Odd, hilarious, and exactly the kind of creativity Mad Monday is known for. This one blew up online.

9. Dave Hughes after the AFL Legends Game

Silver hair, retro footy kit, and the classic Hughesy expression. A smart and very funny tribute costume that footy fans loved.

10. Barbie and Ken

Bright pink Barbie box matched with a full Ken outfit. A colourful, fun, and high energy duo that nailed the 2025 theme perfectly.
