Mad Monday Takes Over Magic Round in Brisbane
Magic Round is always one of the biggest weekends on the NRL calendar, and this year Mad Monday delivered a weekend our groups will not forget.
On Friday, groups checked into their Brisbane City hotel before kicking things off at Irish Murphy’s. Former NRL players James Maloney and Jeremy Lattimore joined the groups after hotel check in, meeting everyone, having a laugh, and helping start the weekend the right way.
From there, the groups made their way through Brisbane’s pub scene with James and Jeremy, heading from the city toward Caxton Street before finishing at the new Milton Bar on Caxton Street ahead of Game 1.
Later that night, the groups made the most of their included nightclub passes, keeping the Magic Round celebrations going well into the night.
Day 2: The Sin Bin Event on Caxton Street
Saturday started early, with over 300 people arriving from 10am for our sold out Sin Bin event on Caxton Street.
Hosted by comedian Aaron Gocs, the event brought together James Maloney, Jeremy Lattimore, and a stack of current and former NRL stars who dropped in throughout the day.
The event was also featured on Channel 9 News, putting the Mad Monday Sin Bin right in the middle of the Magic Round action.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was world famous tattoo artist Kristen Sorensen giving free tattoos to guests who wanted a permanent reminder of their Magic Round trip.
It was loud, packed, and easily one of the wildest events of the entire Magic Round weekend.
